The Miami Springs City Council might raise your taxes as much as 13 percent according to a new article by Theo Karantsalis and published by “The Miami Herald.”

Miami Springs residents currently pay $6.99 for every thousand dollars of assessed taxable value. In other words, if your home is assessed at $200,000. You`re currently paying the city of Miami Springs $1,398 per year.

If the increase goes into effect, the $1,398 per year becomes $1,580 per year or an increase of $182.

A home assessed at $400,000 would see an increase from $2,796 to $3,159 or an increase of $363.
