A sad day at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church today as one of the carnival workers setting up for the annual Blessed Trinity Parish Festival committed suicide.

The children were not exposed to the situation or ever in danger.  According to Local 10, a volunteer found the man in a storage trailer this morning.

One source who wished to stay anonymous reported that the carnival worker had hung himself.

The Parish Festival is scheduled to open tomorrow.

Here’s a message released Wednesday afternoon by Blessed Trinity’s Father Alfaro:

Dear Blessed Trinity Parishioners,

I am sending this message to let you know about a tragedy that has occurred on the Blessed Trinity grounds, in one of the trailers, where a Carnival employee was found dead.

As soon as discovered, police were notified and began the investigation.

School and Church office are continuing with normal schedule. Festival activities are still expected to go on as planned.

I ask that you pray for the Carnival Employee and his family as the police continue to investigate.

Let us also pray for all the people working on the festival this weekend and may the Holy Spirit grant them strength and peace.

Let us keep praying for one another,

Fr. Jose N Alfaro
