Another accident caught on camera at the intersection of NW 36th Street and Curtiss Parkway.  Video from a Red Light Camera at the intersection of NW 36th Street and Curtiss Parkway captured a rollover accident when a Ford Explorer on the eastbound lanes attempts to make a left turn. A westbound compact sedan appears to run the red light, hitting the SUV and rolling it over on its side.

The incident occurred on February 5, 2021, at approximately 6:30 am. This is one of many accidents that have occurred at this deadly and dangerous intersection.

As we reported yesterday, the Mayor of the Village of Virginia Gardens, Spencer Deno, is working with Miami-Dade County and the Florida Department of Transportation in an attempt to make the intersection safer.

The video above is also a teachable moment.  Never make a left hand turn, regardless of the color of the light, if oncoming traffic has not stopped.

When driving in Miami, you not only have to pay attention to what you are doing, but also to what everyone else around you is doing.

Stay safe everybody.
