At Monday night`s Miami Springs City Council meeting, the council voted for and approved 2 separate tot lot inspections.
1) An independent certified playground safety inspector.
2) An inspection by one of the companies bidding to replace the tot lot.
Not sure why they didn`t vote to get the safety inspection back in December, but it`s better late than never.
At this point the council is holding off with any plans to replace the tot lot until the results of the inspection reports are reviewed.
In other Council news, Commissioner Sosa presented the City with a check for $100,000 for the Senior Center. State Representative Bryan Avila was also present and shared that he`s working on getting close to $200,000 in state funds for the Senior Center as well.
