The Florida Department of Health has reported the first case of Coronavirus in Miami Springs on March 31, 2020.  We’ve been surrounded by cases in Hialeah, Doral, and Miami, and it was only a matter of time before it made its way to our quaint community.  Below are the latest numbers from the state:

State of Florida COVID-19 Cases:

  • 6,741 confirmed cases
  • 857 Hospitalized (13%)
  • 85 Deaths (1.3%)

Miami-Dade COVID-19 Cases:

  • 2,123 confirmed cases (30% of State Total)
  • 142 Hospitalized (7% of Miami-Dade Confirmed Cases)
  • 7 Deaths (0.33% of Miami-Dade Confirmed Cases)
  • Age Range:  2 – 101
  • Men: 57%
  • Women:  43%
  • TOTAL TESTED IN MIAMI-DADE:  11,314
