The Board and Management of the new Eastern Air Lines welcomes the first aircraft in Easterns fleet, a Boeing 737-800! The aircraft flown into Miami International Airport for the first time on Friday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m. The inaugural arrival received a water cannon salute, with a special dedication of the aircraft to The Spirit of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker,” Easterns most famous CEO from 1930 to 1965 (and after whom the Rickenbacker Causeway is named)
