  • Lateral hires for applicants with prior full-time Law Enforcement experience

  • 6+ years of previous experience (Step 4 of 8) starting salary of $60,799

  • Thorough background investigation

Public Service Aide Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Valid FL driver’s license with good driving record
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be dedicated to pursuing a college degree related to Law Enforcement

Public Service Aide Applicants Must Pass:

  • Test of Adult Basic Education (T.A.B.E.) by scoring at least a 10th grade level in all areas
  • Physical Agility Test & Swim Test
  • Oral Examination
  • Computer Voice Stress Analysis
  • Thorough background investigation
  • Medical Examination including drug screening

Employment as a Public Service Aide with Miami Springs PD has the following benefits:
