The Florida Department of Health is reporting nearly 5,000 cases in Miami-Dade County with over 14,500 confirmed cases statewide.
The State of Florida has over 1,700 hospitalizations due to Coronavirus with 283 fatalities. That puts our fatality rate at 2% statewide.
Miami-Dade County represents over one third of all the confirmed cases statewide. That speaks volumes to how well our healthcare systems and emergency testing platforms have stepped up to provide mass testing. As a result, the hospitalization rate is at 6% in Miami-Dade County with 45 fatalities. That puts the fatality rate in Miami-Dade County at under 1%.
