Lillian Puntervold

Lillian Puntervold, 92, of Miami Springs, Florida. passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at home. She was born on July 20, 1925, to the late Sam Jorgensen and Laura Magdalena Jorgensen, of Long Island, New York (both formerly of Norway). 

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Sverre B. Puntervold, and her sister, Elsie Fuzia.  She is survived by her sisters, Edna Driskill and Helen Jorgensen; her son, Ed (Enna) Puntervold; daughter, Linda (Donnie) Lowe; daughter, Nancy (Bruce) Mathis; daughter, Gail Puntervold; eight grandchildren Eric (Lina) and Johnny (Ericka) Puntervold; Jason (Sarah) and Ryan (Diana) Lowe; Danny and Darin (Crystal) Mathis, Lisa  (Steve) Cerrato, and Marc (Danielle) Mathis; and 14 great grandchildren (Lacey and Jaxson, Jasmine and Christopher Puntervold; Caralee, Connor and Corey Lowe; Anthony and Archer Lowe; Chase and Claire Mathis; Jayce and Jessa Cerrato; and Eli Mathis). 

Lillian was a homemaker, and joined with her husband, the late Sverre Puntervold in the family insurance agency, Puntervold Insurance. 

Lillian loved her family, gardening, and dancing. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to watch them grow. Her family was most important to her. She was a beautiful soul, who was loved very much. 

The family would like to send a special note of thanks to the Miami Springs Senior Center and Vitas Hospice for playing such an important role in Lillian’s last moments.
