The tentative budget for fiscal year 2013 -2014 includes a Miami Springs property tax increase of 10%.
Homeowners recently received a TRIM notice from the Miami Dade Office of the Property Appraiser. The notice includes your Miami-Dade County taxes, public school taxes, water management taxes, independent district taxes like the Children`s Trust taxes, voter approved debt payments, and of course, the Miami Springs municipal taxes. Here you`ll find the amount you paid last year.
For simplicity, let`s say you paid $1,000 in Miami Springs municipal taxes, the current proposal would raise your taxes to $1,100 or $100 more for every thousand dollars you paid in taxes last year.
