SUMMARY:Dedication of a Memorial Monument for the 50th Anniversary of Eastern Flight 401
DESCRIPTION:Eastern 401 was an L-1011 that crashed in the Everglades just before midnight on December 29\, 1972. 101 souls perished and 75 miraculously survived.  \nThursday\, December 29\, 2022\, at 1:00 PM the memorial will take place at the 700 block of Curtiss Parkway\, directly across from the golf driving range of the Miami Springs Golf and Country Club. \n \nIf attending please email your name and # in your party TO FLT401MEMORIAL@GMAIL.COM\nIn the EMAIL\, please let us know if you or someone in your party is a survivor of the crash or a family member of someone who perished. There will be special seating areas. \nHosted by two flight Attendants/ Survivors\, Beverly Raposa\, Mercy Ruiz\, and a 401 supporter Shannon Dewitt. \n \nThe City of Miami Springs will be streaming this event live on the city of Miami Springs Government Facebook Page at 12:45 p.m. \nIf you wish to donate to the foundation: \n \nWATCH NOW\n\nWatch the documentary film from MAYDAY: Air Disaster that provides a full and thorough examination of the crash of Eastern Air Lines Flight 401\, which occurred on December 29\, 1972. \nThis disaster was a tragic and devastating event that had a significant impact on the families of those on board\, as well as the aviation community as a whole\, and the documentary will likely explore the lessons that were learned in order to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
