SUMMARY:Meeting:  Big Changes at Springs Middle / Springs High
DESCRIPTION:Notices have been issued regarding upcoming changes to Miami Springs Middle and Miami Springs Senior High.  Here’s the official notice: \nDear Parents: \nWe want to inform you of changes that have been proposed for this school’s attendance boundaries for the 2025-2026 school year.  The students\, who may be affected\, live within the area(s) identified on the attached map.  (See further below.) \nTo ensure that you\, as parents\, have all the information you need concerning these proposed recommendations\, and to allow you to ask any questions you may have about these proposed changes\, we have scheduled a special meeting to discuss this matter with you.  This meeting will take place as follows: \nDate: January 15\, 2026\nTime:  6:00 P.M.\nLocation:  Miami Springs Senior High 751 Dove Avenue\, Miami Springs\, FL\nRoom:  Auditorium \n \nRecently\, there have been lots of rumors about changes coming to the two schools. Some have speculated that Miami Springs Middle is closing down.  Others have speculated the Miami Springs Middle and Miami Springs Senior High are merging into one Middle High.  Other speculation has included AIE (Academy for Innovative Education) taking over the Middle School property.  We’ve even received speculation that the City of Miami Springs may gain access to the property in the form of a new police station. \nAgain\, these have all been rumors/speculation as we have yet to receive any confirmation about the changes proposed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. \nNormally\, we wouldn’t share the speculation\, but we want to draw attention to the upcoming meeting being held on Thursday\, January 15th at Miami Springs Senior High.  We hope this meeting will shut down rumors and provide long term definitive answers.
