SUMMARY:Celebration of Life for Vilma Jagessar
DESCRIPTION:On May 18\, 2023\, Vilma Jagessar\, an angel here on earth\, departed our company temporarily as she joined the Lord’s presence in heaven. \n \nAs you might imagine\, this has been a very difficult time for the family and loved ones. We know that many of you have have joined us in praying for this family for some time.  And we continue to pray for strength and faith for the beautiful Jagessar family. \nRemember that for the faithful this isn’t goodbye forever.  Just goodbye for now. \nIf you’re unfamiliar with Vilma\, she was a proud mother of three young children ages 12\, 10\, and 7 years old.  Unfortunately\, Vilma (affectionately called “Jaggie” by her Springview Elementary coworkers) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.  And while she valiantly fought the disease with numerous treatments including chemotherapy\, radiation\, and surgery\, she ultimately succumbed to the disease last month. \nJagessar Family:  Vilma Jagessar with her husband and three children.\nVilma’s husband remained by her side as a full-time caretaker and therefore was unable to work during this time.  As a result\, Vilma’s family setup a GoFundMe page to help raise funds to help alleviate the family’s financial burden. \n \nThe Miami Springs Community did its part to help the young family by donating to the GoFundMe Page and even raising funds with a Flock for Vilma campaign.  To everyone who donated their time and money\, thank you! \nIn honor of Vilma’s beautiful life\, there will be a Celebration of Life this Saturday\, June 10th at 11:00 am at Christ Journey Church located at 624 Anastasia Avenue in Coral Gables. \n \nThose interested in donating to the Jagessar family may still do so on their GoFundMe Page. \n“In loving memory of a life well lived.”

This analysis will identify congestion management\, safety mitigation strategies\, multimodal and accessible transportation options\, and innovative technology to improve overall quality of life. \n \nProject Needs: Over the past decade\, the movement of goods and services through freight transportation has become an essential part of life and is fundamental to our national\, regional\, and local economies. The ever-growing population and tourism have created an increase in overall demand on freight mobility. However\, the limited capacity of the transportation network requires a proactive system to accommodate more people than ever before. \nStudy Objectives: \n\nEvaluate existing transportation conditions along the corridor and identify locations of recurring congestion\, operational deficiencies\, safety issues\, and multimodal needs.\nConduct public and intergovernmental coordination\, with a focus on decision makers and primary stakeholders.\nForecast future needs along the corridor based on existing conditions.\nDevelop and evaluate alternative improvements to address existing and future needs.\nRecommend and prioritize the most appropriate improvements based on a practical implementation strategy.\nAdvance into subsequent phases in the transportation delivery process.\n\nPublic Involvement: \nFDOT encourages the public to get involved by providing comments\, questions\, and suggestions to the NW 67 Avenue Corridor Improvements Team. \nThere will be several public meetings and workshops to share progress updates\, information collected and analyzed\, as well as alternatives developed for the study area. The meetings will allow the public to ask questions and share comments on the study. Presentations\, and one-on-one meetings will also be held for interested residents\, business owners\, and stakeholders along the corridor. \nPublic participation is solicited without regard to race\, color\, national origin\, age\, sex\, religion\, or family status. \nPrevious Meetings: \n\nA Virtual Project Advisory Team (PAT) Meeting was held on Tuesday\, May 30\, 2023.
