Join us for Evening of History on November 1st and step back in time as we celebrate Miami Springs’ rich aviation legacy!
Special guest Rick Leisenring, Curator Emeritus of the Curtiss Museum in NY, will present a talk and book signing on aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to view a replica of Curtiss’ record-breaking motorcycle, which set a world speed record in Ormond Beach in 1907!
The event will feature a stunning display from Palm Beach Classics and Miami Vintage Motorcycles, showcasing rare and exotic cars and bikes.
Plus, the Historical Society of Miami Springs will unveil a brand-new exhibit: Miami’s First Flight School by Glenn Curtiss, highlighting how Curtiss taught the world to fly, including the first Cuban and Puerto Rican aviators.
Enjoy live music from pianist Patricio Romero and saxophonist/flutist Dominick Cama, and indulge in delicious food from Sushi Sake, Ceviche by Divino, Pilot House, and Miranda’s Cuisine. Drinks will be provided by Magic 13 Brewery and Hole 19 Bar.
