Jennifer Lynne Deitz Legido, 62, of Miami Springs, FL, formerly of Utica, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023, after a battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.
Jennifer was born to Leslie and MarieAnn (DiRuzza) Deitz in 1961. She grew up in the Utica area and attended Notre Dame High School, graduated in 1979, and also graduated from Utica School of Commerce. She moved to Florida in 1983. Jennifer was employed by Deloitte in Florida for over 30 years.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Aldo Legido; two sons, Charles Legido and his wife, Maria, and Nicholas Legido, all of Miami Springs; mother, MarieAnn (Deitz) Strassberger and her husband, Robert Strassberger of Lake Worth, FL; sisters, Alison (Deitz) Coppola and her husband, Patrick Coppola, and Lesley (Deitz) Hayes and her fiancé, Dan Kealy, of Utica; maternal aunts and uncle, Angelo (Godfather) and CarolAnn DiRuzza, and JoAnn McKelvey, all from the Utica area, and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Jennifer was predeceased by her father, Leslie C. Deitz, Jr. in 1991.
Relatives and friends will be invited to a Memorial Service in Miami Springs, FL, on a date yet to be determined.
