STATE COUNTS

Nearly 28,000 cases in the State of Florida.  The hospitalization rate among known cases is at 15% with 4,226 hospitalized statewide.  The Florida COVID mortality rate is at 3.1% with 867 fatalities.

COMPARING STATES

Florida has the 3rd largest population in the union, but fortunately, we rank 8th in total cases of the Coronavirus.  New York is obviously the the epicenter with over a quarter million cases and nearly 15,000 fatalities. The fatality rate in New York is at 6%.  Among the top 10 states with the highest number of Coronavirus, Michigan has the highest fatality rate at 8%.  Florida has the lowest rate at 3%.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTS

Miami-Dade will surpasses 10,000 COVID cases.  The current count stands at 10,056 cases in Miami-Dade County.  The hospitalization rate among known cases is at 10% with 963 hospitalized within the County.  The Miami-Dade COVID fatality rate is at 2.3% with 233 fatalities.

LOCAL CASES

There are now 81 confirmed local cases of COVID-19 within our zip code, 33166.   As a reminder, Miami Springs represents 55% of the population within the 33166 zip code.
