University of Miami Football Head Coach, Mario Cristobal, visited Miami Springs Senior High fresh after his team’s National Championship game. Why was Coach Cristobal in Miami Springs?

For that, we can thank the new Miami Springs Senior High Football Team’s Head Coach, T.Y. Hilton. You see after T.Y. Hilton’s successful career as a Miami Springs Senior High Football Wide Receiver and before Hilton’s legendary NFL career, he was recruited to play for FIU Football by the coach at the time…none other than Mario Cristobal.

Well, it appears as if Cristobal returned the favor and visited T.Y. Hilton at Miami Springs Senior High. It’s also an acknowledgement that Mario never stops recruiting in his own backyard…always looking for the next great athlete to help the University of Miami sustain another big playoff run and put them in contention for a National Championship.

Miami Springs Senior High posted the following statement regarding Cristobal’s visit:
Full circle moment in the Hawk’s Nest 🏈✨
From being recruited as a Golden Hawk to returning as our Head Football Coach, TY Hilton’s journey is a testament to faith, mentorship, and legacy. Grateful for Coach Mario Cristobal, Head Coach of @canesfootball , who saw his potential and helped him flourish into the successful athlete and leader he is today. Proof that great coaches build their players up and allow them to soar. This is what Golden Hawk legacy looks like. Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk.
Great job! We’re looking forward to what the future holds at Miami Springs Senior High Football in the fall. Go Hawks and Go ‘Canes!
