2022 Lions Club River Clean Up

The Miami Springs Lions Club and its members continue to shine in the many ways they give back and serve our community.  Last weekend they had a River Clean Up Event where volunteers used canoes, kayaks, rafts, and Jon boats to traverse the river and clean up the trash that unfortunately accumulates making the river disgusting, unsafe, and unhealthy for the wildlife that call the river home.

We’d like to thank the Lions Club President, Elizabeth Kourtesis Fisher, and all the volunteers who participated in an event to preserve one of our most precious, and dare I say underutilized resources, the Miami River.
