Authorities in Miami-Dade County have officially released the names of the five individuals who lost their lives in Sunday’s devastating Amazon Prime Air cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport.
The victims, all of whom were on the ground when the Boeing 767-300 aircraft overran the runway, were identified on Tuesday as:

All five victims were inside a shuttle van used by aircraft cleaning crews. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 6, when Flight 7598—operated by 21 Air and arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico—failed to stop on the airport’s diagonal runway. The aircraft careened off the tarmac, crashed through a perimeter fence, and struck multiple vehicles before erupting into flames.
In addition to the five fatalities, five other individuals sustained injuries. Three of the injured were transported to local hospitals, with two remaining in critical condition. The pilot and co-pilot of the cargo plane were treated for minor injuries and have since been released.
Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz extended her condolences to the families of those killed, emphasizing that local first responders and investigators are working diligently to piece together the sequence of events. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have both launched full investigations to determine why the jet failed to stop and to assess the runway conditions at the time of the landing. Operations at Miami International Airport were temporarily halted with a full ground stop, but recovery and cleanup efforts remain ongoing as the airport works to resume normal schedules.
