As the song says, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…” And in Miami Springs, it’s becoming an evermore beautiful Christmas thanks to the city administration, civic groups, private companies, and individual homeowners.
Today, we want to highlight some of the beautiful Christmas displays in public spaces.
Curtiss Parkway Christmas Ornaments
We love the new Christmas ornaments hanging on the oak trees along Curtiss Parkway. It expands the Christmas spirit beyond just the Circle. Furthermore, it highlights the natural beauty of our public spaces. You can’t walk down the Curtiss Parkway trail and be warmed by the festive spirit.
The area to notice is the Curtiss Parkway median near Deer Run at the Miami Springs Golf Course.
Westward Drive
We love the lights along Westward Drive that makes Miami Springs look like a winter wonderland. From the beautiful oak trees wrapped in Christmas lights to the Christmas trees placed throughout the median, the decor adds to the spirit of the season.
We want to thank the Miami Springs Rotary Club and the Miami Springs Public Works Department for the fundraising, donations, and the labor necessary to transform Westward Drive.
The Circle
The O.G. of Christmas displays remains The Circle. It’s lit up beautifully from the hedges, to the lamp posts, to the oak trees, and the Gazebo. This year, the City of Miami Springs has added Christmas trees all around the Circle that adds to the beauty on display.
Another thing different we noticed during a weeknight stroll, was the number of people enjoying the cool weather and taking pictures of the displays.
We’ve never seen Miami Springs’ public spaces as beautiful as they are this season. What do you think? Let us know in the comments or via social media.
