The Miami Springs Burger King located on NW 36th Street and LeJeune Road and the Miami Subs Grill located on LeJeune Road and South Royal Poinciana Boulevard have both closed leading to speculation as to what’s coming next?
First, let’s review the Miami Subs Grill property. It was sold on March 24, 2025 for $2.6 Million. The triangularly shaped property sits on a 23,417 square foot lot. The property is now owned by BATATA GROUP INVESTMENTS 2 LLC.
The Office Depot property across the street sold in February of last year for $9.2 Million. That property is owned by ELEV8 COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT II LLC.
On the other hand, the Burger King property sits vacant, but has not changed hands…at least not yet. According to the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser’s website, the BK property is still owned by Burger King Company, LLC.
So, what’s coming next?
The short answer is, we don’t know.
Nevertheless, you’ll want to stay tuned.
Miami Springs is in serious need of a good pharmacy like a CVS or Walgreens. But these properties may be too small to support such an operation.
There isn’t a Chik-Fil-A in the area. That would be an amazing option.
What would you like to see open at these two locations?
It would be great to see a Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Whole Foods or alike store (more healthy options) open in one of those properties.
Bring a Trader Joe’s to Miami Springs.
We wish Maria Mitchell all the best on her new aspiration to fill the Miami-Dade Commission seat. We need a voice of reason and someone who has Miami Springs’ best interest at heart. Godspeed!
