On Sunday morning, canal street was lined with police tape with Miami Springs police cruisers and a CBS 4 New Truck on the scene.
According to multiple published reports, a Miami Springs Police officer was flagged down Sunday morning after someone noticed a body floating in the canal near Canal Street and Curtiss Parkway.
Miami-Dade Police Divers were called out to retrieve the body of the dead woman. Her identity has not yet been released.
Miam-Dade Police are handling the investigation.
