Miami Springs’ very own, Valerie Marie, will be competing on this year’s American Idol. The Miami Springs native is a young singer/songwriter who began playing piano at the age of nine and started singing at eleven at McCormack Music Academy in Miami Springs. She has already won many singing competitions including the River Cities Festival competition and the Blessed Trinity Church Talent Show. And she has awed Miami Springs residents for years performing the national anthem at the River Cities Festival and leaving everyone in floored when she’s performed on Karaoke night at Hole 19 inside our beautiful Miami Springs Golf and Country Club. We congratulate Valerie on her musical journey as she moves onto to the much bigger and brighter lights on American Idol.
