At Tuesday’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting Mayor Walter Fajet recommended to the City Council to create a position for City Historian.  It’s no surprise that the individual proposed for the new role was none other than Ken Wilde.

We applaud this recognition of Ken Wilde.  Ken loves Miami Springs and its rich history.  He’s been very involved with the Miami Springs Historical Society and has long shared snippets of Miami Springs History online via social media.  Wilde has also been a long time contributor to MiamiSprings.com sharing stories of Miami Springs’ rich history.

The entire City Council agreed that Ken Wilde deserves the title as the City’s Official Historian.  Per the direction from the City Council, the City’s staff will create the process to make it all official.

We want to congratulate Ken Wilde for this well deserved recognition.  We appreciate the Mayor and City Council for recognizing Ken Wilde’s commitment to our beautiful city.

Join us in congratulating Ken Wilde for this well deserved recognition.
