According to local media reports, there was a fatal car accident at NW 36th Street this morning. A male driver heading westbound crossed the sidewalk and drove right into a a yellow bollard at the Airport Cafe and Liquors located at 4427 NW 36th Street in Miami Springs.

According to NBC 6, the Miami Springs Police Department responded on scene at approximately 2:26 am. NBC 6 also reported that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the individual to Ryder Trauma Center where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.
Since the accident proved fatal, Miami-Dade’s Traffic Homicide Detectives took over the investigation as is the normal protocol.
