In March, the Miami Springs Police Department launched Operation NW 36 St., a proactive crime reduction initiative focused on one of the city’s busiest corridors. The results? A major success:

  • 11 felony charges

  • 4 misdemeanors

  • 7 traffic charges

  • 100+ traffic stops

  • 15 subject checks

  • 5 suspicious vehicle investigations

Statement from the Chief of Police:
“Our goal is to reduce crime along NW 36th Street through proactive strategies like targeted traffic enforcement, consensual encounters, and undercover operations. Criminals talk, and we want the message to be clear—Miami Springs is not a place for crime.

A huge thank you to our dedicated officers for their hard work and commitment to keeping our community safe. This is only the beginning—more efforts are on the way
