Hello readers. Miami Springs will soon be getting a new bookstore.
The folks at Steamy Lit, a romance bookstore, announced it’s adding a new South Florida location in Miami Springs.
According to their website, Steamy Lit was founded by Melissa Saavedra, an immigrant from Peru and U.S. Navy veteran. The University of Florida graduate launched Steamy Lit in 2021 with a subscription service called The Steam Box, a romance book subscription service that “gained a loyal following for its commitment to inclusivity and sexual empowerment.”
Steamy Lit is described as “a romance literary collective dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and celebrating self-love through storytelling.”
In 2024, Steamy Lit opened two stores in Florida including one in Tampa and one in Deerfield.
Recently, Steamy Lit announced that they will be opening their third store this winter, right here in beautiful Miami Springs. Stay tuned for details on their official opening.
