The Miami Springs Montessori School hosted a special Trike-A-Thon last month to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This is the 25th year the school has hosted the event.  And while the event may have started off soggy with some April showers, the young fundraisers showed that they would not be deterred by stormy weather.  The kids set out along the Ludlam Drive bike path (directly across from the Montessori School) in their tricycles, bicycles, and scooters.  Of course, the parents weren’t too far behind.

The Miami Springs Woman’s Club recognized the courage and dedication of the these young children and also joined the effort to raise funds to support the hospital’s groundbreaking research into childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

According to the Miami Springs Montessori School, all the funds raised will go towards the hospital’s research and treatments for children, making a significant difference in the loves of children battling these horrific diseases.

“The children’s bravery in the face of challenging conditions serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of the spirit of a child.”  – Donna Hernandez, Miami Springs Montessori School
