A pedestrian was struck by a car on NW 36th Street. According to Miami Springs Police, the pedestrian was transported to Jackson. The condition of the pedestrian was not yet available.
Westbound traffic on NW 36th Street was shut down at East Drive. All westbound traffic at NW 36th Street was being rerouted north on East Drive causing backups all the way back to State Road 112.
Miami Springs Police were still at the scene Thursday morning as they processed the scene.
Miami Springs Officers were also assisting drivers navigate the detour.
