Pinecrest Bakery is coming soon to Miami Springs.  Specifically, it’s coming to what is arguably Miami Springs’ busiest corner.  We’re talking about the corner of Le Jeune Road and NW 36th Street where the Miami Springs Burger King was located and next to the Pollo Tropical and Office Depot.

What is Pinecrest Bakery?

Pinecrest Bakery describes itself as a place “where Miami’s heart beats with Cuban flavor…open 24/7.”  They serve pastelitos (Cuban pastries), baked goods, café Cubano, desserts, traditional and oven toasted sandwiches, party platters, custom cakes, and catered family meals.

One of the key elements expressed above is a location that is open 24/7.  So if you want that croqueta at 2am, there’s a new local place that promises to deliver.  I know many of you (I won’t name names) have memories of partying hard on South Beach only to have a 5am craving for a good meal.  The final destination was usually La Carreta on 8th Street or a Denny’s.

Well now, Pinecrest Bakery aims to satisfy that craving conveniently here in Miami Springs at Le Jeune and 36th Street.

Pinecrest Bakery first opened (as the name implies) in Pinecrest, Florida back in 2012.  Since then, the restaurant has expanded with 21 locations from Key Largo to West Palm Beach.

You can learn more about Pinecrest Bakery’s operation in the following video by Inside South Florida:

We’re not sure if the location will take advantage of the drive-thru infrastructure left behind by Burger King.  It’s kind of a cool idea to be able go grab a media noche sandwich (aka midnight sandwich) at a Miami Springs drive thru at midnight.

We are excited to see what appears to be a positive, family friendly business, opening at one of the most important locations in Miami Springs.  And due to its prime location, it’s positioned perfectly to serve Miami Springs, Virginia Gardens, and Hialeah residents, tourists staying along our hotel district, and the 24/7 employees working across the street at Miami International Airport.
