The arrests occurred at the 600 block of Mokena Drive. That’s less than two blocks from AIE Charter School and Miami Springs Middle School. Both schools went into lockdown yesterday as the raid was in progress just as a precautionary measure.
All four were transported to TGK and remain in Miami-Dade Corrections custody.
As a reminder, individuals arrested are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The State Attorney’s Office then decides whether to offer a plea deal or move forward with a prosecution depending on the evidence of each individual case.
REPORT SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR
Folks, it angers me to know we have drug dealers, pimps, and sex trafficking along NW 36th Street Hotels. It’s infuriating to learn of alleged drug dealing within our quiet residential community. Folks, if you see suspicious behavior in our community, don’t hesitate to contact Miami Springs Police at 305.888.9711.
The police can’t be everywhere. Let’s do our part to keep Miami Springs safe.
