Miami Springs resident Armando Amet spoke up during Open Forum at Monday’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting to express his concerns over the “ancient” Building and Zoning process. He “failed to understand how a simple pool patio remodeling project has taken 10 months to approve.”  Just a reminder that it took just 13 months to build the Empire State Building 100 years ago…before the age of computers.
Amet stated “The comments that we receive on the plans are nitpicking, inconsistent, time slacking…three to four months before a comment is made…miserable communication.”
“…Hopefully there’s a resolution.”
“If the city plans to have some more progress like the [activate southeast Springs initiative], if…developers have to go through the Building and Zoning Department, it’ll be decades before it goes through” declared Amet before closing his statements.
