According to local media reports, three people were shot on Friday, July 5th, just west of Miami Springs along a shopping plaza located on the 7300 block of NW 36th Street. This is the shopping plaza where you’ll find the Wendy’s and the popular Riconcito restaurant.
The shooting apparently occurred in the alleyway behind the shopping center. According to the reports, three people were hit by gunfire. One of the individuals did perish from the gunshot wounds. The other two were taken to local hospitals.
The area where the incident occurred is within the area the City of Miami Springs has repeatedly attempted to annex. Due to our proximity, Miami Springs Police were among the units to respond to the incident as captured by NBC 6 Cameras.
