I walk my dog around Miami Springs almost daily. Our walks are usually an hour and sometimes longer. We walk the sidewalks and through the alleys. She sniffs her way around and I look down a lot. There are many stinky things that I could step in or she could roll in. I prefer not to step in it; she lives to roll in it. The one thing that we have to dodge way too often is Dog Poo.
Yes, there probably is more Duck Poo to watch out for than there is Dog Poo, but the Ducks aren’t on a leash. I have witnessed many times a Dog Owner stand there and hold the leash while the dog poos and then just walk away without picking it up. That’s just lazy.
Who likes to step in Dog Poo? If you do, please don’t tell me, I really don’t want to know. The city places Poo Bags in many places around the city, please use them. Really almost any plastic bag will do. I carry Poo Bags with me on every walk. You can use the plastic grocery bags.

It’s been a while since I had to take my shoes off outside when I got home from a walk, but what prompted me to write this is that yesterday I barely missed stepping in two large fresh piles of Poo. One of them was mere feet away from the entrance to a playground. Who wants their child to wear dog poo?
