This past Saturday was a beautiful day to enjoy the gorgeous Miami Springs weather. Some folks headed to the beach. Others decorated for the holidays. But a good portion of Miami Springs started off their Saturday with the terrific Turkey Trot tradition.
The annual 5k turkey trot race hosted by the Miami Springs Parks and Recreation Department and supported by the Miami Springs Police Department and local sponsors including The Leonard Real Estate Group has become a must attend event for local athletes and weekend warriors alike.
The run starts and ends at the Miami Springs Recreation Center with a route that tours the neighboring bird section of Miami Springs with a return back to the Rec Center via the Ludlam canal bike path.
Scores of runners and walkers were on hand, both young and old.
The family friendly Turkey Trot is yet another treat that makes our Miami Springs community such a sweet place to enjoy.
