The high school choir group from AIE kicked off Monday’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting with a beautiful performance of the holiday classic Jingle Bells.  The rendition was moving and gave a positive start to what was a very long meeting.

Then, after their rendition of Jingle Bells, two members of the AIE Choir Group, Jackson Jolla and Sophia Enriquez spoke up at Open Forum to ask for a donation for their upcoming competition trip to New Orleans.

Open Forum continued with speakers discussing pertinent items impacting Miami Springs.  But one speaker came up with a special message.  Lowell Dunn came up and said, “I just heard these kids sing and I have never been in such a spirit filled room before, so on behalf of the Lowell and Betty L Dunn Family Foundation, we’d like to donate $25,000 to their efforts.”

Immediately after the announcement, the crowd erupted with a standing ovation.  And as you can imagine, the kids were overwhelmed by the surprising instant gesture on their behalf.

Wow!  That’s amazing!  And that’s the Christmas spirit in action.

We want to thank the Lowell S and Betty L Dunn Family Foundation for their incredible generosity, especially during this time of year.  God bless you and thank you for your donation to these young students.  They were all visibly shocked and moved by the incredible generosity.  What an incredible message of hope and giving to the future generations of Miami Springs.
