There were a lot of changes announced at Monday’s Miami Springs City Council Meeting. The City Manager, JC Jimenez, announced that the assistant City Manager, Tammy Romero, had resigned her role within the city after serving the city for 20 years.

Obviously, that created an immediate vacancy within the city administration. Without hesitation, Jimenez promoted the longtime Miami Springs Parks and Recreation Director, Omar Luna, as the new Assistant City Manager. We want to congratulate Omar as he takes on this new role serving the city he loves.

Well, now there was another vacancy. This time at Parks and Rec.
Fortunately, Parks and Recreation is in good hands as longtime Parks and Rec employee, Caitlyn Smith, was promoted as the new Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Miami Springs. We want to congratulate Caitlyn on her well deserved promotion. (Below is a video when Caitlin Smith was arrested for charity in Miami Springs.)
Miami Springs is in good hands.
