The Miami Springs City Charter requires an annual vote of confidence by the City Council for three positions:

  • City Manager
  • City Attorney
  • City Clerk

These are also the only three positions the City Council is allowed to hire and fire.  The other positions are hired, promoted, demoted, or fired by the City Manager or other department heads like the Chief of Police.

We congratulate J.C. Jimenez on the unanimous vote of confidence.  He’s done a great job in attempting to streamline, modernize, and looking at new and better ways to do things instead of just accepting, “well, that’s the way we’ve always done it.”

We appreciate the hard work, professionalism, and passion J.C. continues to put forth on behalf of the residents of Miami Springs.
