According to Alonso, the City is eligible to receive $5,848,232. The City would receive 50% of the money within 60 – 90 days of the project.  The second half would be received within one year.  The City has until 2024 to use the funding.

During Monday’s Council Meeting, Alonso was suggesting using some of the funds towards alleviating flooding on the east side of Miami Springs.  However, the formal budgeting and Council approval process is yet to begin.
