According to NBC 6 Miami, the driver of a hotel shuttle bus was ejected after a BMW allegedly ran a red light causing the accident.
The accident occurred on NW 36th Street near Palmetto Drive.
NW 36 Street was closed for hours Wednesday morning while investigators processed the scene. Local roads were clogged with congestion while commuters figured out how to bypass the shutdown.
The driver of the shuttle bus was hospitalized and remained under hospital care. The driver of the BMW was cared for at the scene.
