As published by Tom Curtiss of the River Cities Gazette, the Miami Springs City Council passed the proposed budget including a 10 percent property tax increase. However, the vote was not unanimous. Mayor Garcia, Councilman Lob, and Councilman Windrem voted for the budget while Councilman Bain and Councilman Petralanda voted against the budget.
