Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vetoed nearly $1 Billion from the state’s upcoming budget. Among the items vetoed were $2.8 Million in projects earmarked for Miami Springs and Virginia Gardens, according to a report published by The Miami Herald.
In Miami Springs, the Governor vetoed two projects worth $1.2 Million:
- The first project vetoed was $1 Million in funding for Miller Drive Roadway Improvements.
- The second project vetoed was $200,000 for the War Memorial on Curtiss Parkway.
In Virginia Gardens, the Governor vetoed 3 projects worth $1.6 Million:
- The first project vetoed was $700,000 for Central Drainage Improvement.
- The second project vetoed was $600,000 for Roadway Improvements.
- The third project vetoed was $300,000 for Village Pump Station Rehabilitation.
Anyway to find out why the governor did that. There must be a reason and I am sure our Mayor must have been informed.
I wish he cared about Floridians more.
