Details have emerged from Tuesday’s fatal motorcycle accident that shut down NW 36th Street for several hours in Virginia Gardens. Here’s what we know according to details provided by the Miami-Dade Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit:
The accident occurred at approximately 7:03 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 on NW 36th Street, just west of Curtiss Parkway.
Two (2) vehicles were involved. Vehicle #1 was a 2019 Cadillac SRX sport utility vehicle. Vehicle #2 was a 2015 Honda 300R Motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle died. He was identified as Axel Tommy Coz Morrillo, a 21 year old white male.
A 52 year old white female passenger in the Cadillac, identified as Digna De La Caridad Moro, was transported to Kendall Regional with minor injuries.
According to Miami-Dade Police Department, the accident is still under investigation.
