Miami Springs Law enforcement units were dispatched to a local hotel following reports of a fight erupting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers reportedly encountered an individual identified as Patricia Martinez, who refused to disclose her identity. According to authorities, Martinez attempted to evade capture by fleeing on foot, prompting a brief pursuit before being apprehended.
During the apprehension, it is claimed that Martinez resisted arrest by grabbing and kicking officers. However, authorities claim she was eventually subdued and taken into custody without further escalation. Reportedly, one officer sustained minor bruising to both forearms during the altercation.
Allegedly, Martinez was found in possession of a bag containing a glass smoking pipe and purported crystal methamphetamine.
