As Thanksgiving approaches, Blessed Trinity Community Outreach has a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of low-income families in our community, particularly those living around St. Anne Catholic Mission in Homestead, Florida. We’re excited to share the details of our Thanksgiving Food Drive and how you can be a part of this heartwarming initiative.

Blessed Trinity is collecting boxes filled with essential food items to create Thanksgiving meal packages for families in need. The items needed can be found on our flyer. Additionally, if possible, we kindly request that you include a $20.00 Walmart gift card in each box. This gift card will allow these families to purchase a turkey, and we chose Walmart because there’s a store nearby for their convenience.

How You Can Help:

We understand that times can be challenging for everyone, but there are simple yet impactful ways you can contribute to this cause:

  1. Partner Up: Encourage two families or neighbors to come together and create one food donation box. This not only eases the cost but also fosters a sense of togetherness.
  2. Share at Work: Take the initiative to bring a donation box to your workplace and invite your co-workers to fill it with the necessary items. Consider sharing the cost of the Walmart gift card. It’s a fantastic way for your colleagues to join in the joy of giving.

Key Dates and How to Participate

All the information you need, including drop-off dates for the boxes and volunteering to help with deliveries on November 19, can be found on the  flyer. We encourage you to get involved and make this Thanksgiving a memorable one for those in need.

This Thanksgiving, let’s come together as a community under the guidance of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church to share our blessings and spread joy to those less fortunate. Your support for St. Anne Catholic Mission’s Thanksgiving Food Drive will make a significant impact on the lives of families who could use a helping hand during this holiday season. Thank you for your generosity, and may you be blessed in return.
