The Miami Springs Police Department is pleased to announce the arrest of Jose Marti-Alvarez, who orchestrated a fraudulent scheme targeting tourists staying in hotels along NW 36 ST. Marti-Alvarez distributed fake pizza flyers, advertising his bogus business as “Roman Pizzeria,” misleading unsuspecting visitors into thinking they were ordering from the beloved local eatery, Roman’s Pizzeria.

Marti-Alvarez’s deceitful operation resulted in undercooked, incorrect, and overpriced food deliveries, tarnishing the reputation of the real Roman’s Pizzeria. This scam, which had been ongoing for several years, led to numerous complaints to the Better Business Bureau, negative reviews, and dissatisfied customers, causing significant damage to the legitimate business.
