The City of Miami Springs shined brightly once again for the annual 4th of July Celebrations. From the most family friendly 4th of July Parade in all of South Florida to the Fireworks and Car Show, the City of Miami Springs, Parks and Rec, Public Works, Police Department, Civic Clubs, Organizations, Private Businesses, and the general public all pitched in to do their part to make this a magical weekend everyone will remember for years to come.

The weekend started out with the 4th of July Parade led by the Grand Marshall, Charlie Leonard of the Leonard Real Estate Group. As customary, the local dignitaries then follow along with local organizations and parade participants.

Of course, the kids just want to get wet in the wet zone…and it never disappoints…

They come prepared with their super soakers…

And the water battle begins…

And in the heat of early July, that cool water feels great!

Of course, the ultimate water canon comes from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Airport Canon which totally douses the crowd.

And as you can see below, the kids love it!

After the parade, a change of clothes, a hot dog or burger, then it was back to the Miami Springs Golf Course for the annual Fireworks show.

And the fun continued on Saturday with the annual Independence Day Weekend Classic Car and Truck Show on the Circle.
Overall, it was another great weekend of family fun for all ages celebrating the birth of the greatest country on earth in one of the best communities in all of South Florida.
God bless you all and God Bless America!
