The 1st day of school was smooth in Miami Springs, but it appears the 2nd day is going to be a bit more challenging.
There was an unsubstantiated threat at Miami Springs Elementary School today. The Miami Springs Police Department issued the following statement:
We are aware of the threats made involving Miami Springs Elementary School.
The Miami Springs Police Department has multiple units on scene.
AT THIS TIME THERE ARE NO VIABLE THREATS TO OUR STUDENTS, STAFF, OR COMMUNITY.
The safety of our students and community remain our top priority.
