Miami Springs Senior High Teacher of the Year and Miami-Dade County Public Schools Teacher of the Year finalist, Nick Acosta, was honored by the City of Miami Springs at Monday’s Miami Springs Council Meeting.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member and Miami Springs resident, Dan Espino, and Miami Springs Senior High Principal, Nelson Gonzalez, both spoke highly of the outstanding work by Mr. Acosta.  Principal Gonzalez said it best when he describes Nick Acosta’s class as “MAGIC!”

Gonzalez proclaimed: “His infectious attitude…his spirit…his willingness to pay attention to the details…Not only the details in the classroom, but the details in the lives of the students. …He’s affected a lot of students and changing their career paths…I’m eternally grateful to Nick Acosta and his hard work at Miami Springs Senior High.”

Dear Nick Acosta, thank you for your hard work and consistent commitment to the students.  You’re an amazing man teacher that is completely changing the lives of so many students.  God bless you and keep up the great work!
