As you know, the boat ramp has recently been revamped for launching kayaks and canoes. The boat ramp specifically excludes the use of motorized vessels. That also excludes cars from driving and / or accidentally rolling into the canal.
Not sure what happened here, but a resident shared these pics of a tow truck pulling a car from the boat ramp. We don’t know what the circumstances were that led to a tow truck having to pull a vehicle out from the boat ramp.
The resident shared that the car was being pulled out of the water. Miami Springs Police were on hand to secure the scene and make sure everyone was okay.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 17th in the early evening.
